La embarcaci\u00f3n puede transportar hasta 9.000 veh\u00edculos equivalentes y reducir el consumo de combustible un 50% frente a portaveh\u00edculos de generaciones anteriores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Construido por China Merchants Heavy Industries Jiangsu, el buque est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para una futura conversi\u00f3n al uso de amon\u00edaco como combustible alternativo sin emisiones de carbono. Su entrega se concret\u00f3 el 30 de junio de 2026, seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>El buque iniciar\u00e1 una ruta entre Asia y Europa<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El <em>Grande Oriente<\/em> mide 220 metros de eslora y 38 metros de manga. Adem\u00e1s, tiene un tonelaje bruto de 93.145 y una velocidad de crucero de 18 nudos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Su viaje inaugural est\u00e1 previsto desde Taicang, China, hasta Portbury, Reino Unido. Para ese trayecto, transportar\u00e1 700 metros lineales de carga rodada y m\u00e1s de 6.200 autom\u00f3viles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La incorporaci\u00f3n fortalece la presencia del grupo italiano en los mercados del Lejano Oriente. Su red conecta mercados estrat\u00e9gicos con m\u00e1s de 150 puertos en cinco continentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Tecnolog\u00eda para reducir emisiones y consumo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El <em>Grande Oriente<\/em> cuenta con la certificaci\u00f3n <em>Ammonia Ready<\/em> del registro naval italiano RINA. Esta notaci\u00f3n acredita que puede adaptarse para utilizar amon\u00edaco como combustible alternativo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asimismo, incorpora bater\u00edas de litio con una capacidad total de 5 MWh y conexi\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica desde tierra (<em>cold ironing<\/em>). Ambas tecnolog\u00edas permiten operar sin emisiones durante las escalas portuarias cuando existe infraestructura disponible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre sus sistemas de eficiencia destacan 2.500 metros cuadrados de paneles solares, revestimientos del casco para reducir la resistencia y controles inteligentes de ventilaci\u00f3n y climatizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n dispone de sistemas para reducir las emisiones de \u00f3xidos de azufre, part\u00edculas y \u00f3xidos de nitr\u00f3geno. A esto se suma un sistema de lubricaci\u00f3n por aire y un tim\u00f3n de doble pala, instalado por primera vez en un buque portaveh\u00edculos de este tipo, seg\u00fan la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con esta incorporaci\u00f3n, Grimaldi ampl\u00eda su capacidad para transportar veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos y convencionales.
