Seg\u00fan la consultora Alphaliner, la compa\u00f1\u00eda francesa incorpor\u00f3 m\u00e1s capacidad que Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) y redujo la distancia que la separa de Maersk en el mercado mundial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre enero y junio, <strong>CMA CGM<\/strong> sum\u00f3 <strong>235.500 TEU<\/strong> a su flota. Este incremento representa un crecimiento del <strong>5,7%<\/strong> respecto al inicio del a\u00f1o. En comparaci\u00f3n, MSC a\u00f1adi\u00f3 <strong>205.000 TEU<\/strong>, mientras que el promedio de expansi\u00f3n de las diez mayores navieras fue del <strong>2,7%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>CMA CGM se acerca al segundo lugar mundial<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La flota de <strong>CMA CGM<\/strong> alcanza ahora una capacidad de <strong>4,39 millones de TEU<\/strong>. Por su parte, Maersk opera <strong>4,73 millones de TEU<\/strong>. De mantenerse esta tendencia, la naviera francesa podr\u00eda convertirse en el segundo mayor operador mundial durante 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El crecimiento estuvo impulsado por la incorporaci\u00f3n de <strong>12 nuevos buques<\/strong>. Entre ellos destaca el <strong>CMA CGM Notre Dame<\/strong>, con capacidad para <strong>24.212 TEU<\/strong> y propulsi\u00f3n a gas natural licuado (GNL). Tambi\u00e9n ingres\u00f3 el <strong>CMA CGM Grand Palais<\/strong>, de <strong>23.872 TEU<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de diez portacontenedores impulsados por metanol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mientras tanto, MSC registr\u00f3 un crecimiento del <strong>2,9%<\/strong>, muy inferior al ritmo alcanzado durante 2025. Su expansi\u00f3n se apoy\u00f3 en la entrega de ocho nuevos buques, incluido el <strong>MSC Claire<\/strong>, con capacidad para <strong>16.169 TEU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maersk aument\u00f3 su capacidad un <strong>2,5%<\/strong> gracias a nuevas unidades propulsadas por metanol y a la incorporaci\u00f3n de dos buques fletados de Seaspan. Por su parte, Yang Ming registr\u00f3 el mayor crecimiento porcentual del sector, con un avance del <strong>5,8%<\/strong>, impulsado por tres nuevos portacontenedores de <strong>15.600 TEU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalmente, Alphaliner se\u00f1al\u00f3 que solo Hapag-Lloyd y ZIM redujeron su capacidad durante el semestre.
