El anuncio fue realizado por la Asociaci\u00f3n de Terminales y Operadores de Manzanillo (ASTOM); que present\u00f3 un plan destinado a fortalecer la competitividad del principal puerto comercial de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La inversi\u00f3n fue dada a conocer por Manuel Fern\u00e1ndez, CEO de SSA Marine M\u00e9xico; durante su presentaci\u00f3n como nuevo presidente de ASTOM. El programa contempla la ampliaci\u00f3n de terminales concesionadas, la incorporaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda; y tambi\u00e9n la adquisici\u00f3n de nuevos equipos y el desarrollo de infraestructura para atender el crecimiento del comercio exterior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Modernizaci\u00f3n y mayor capacidad log\u00edstica<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>De acuerdo con ASTOM, las empresas afiliadas han invertido cerca de US$1.800 millones desde el inicio de sus concesiones para desarrollar infraestructura portuaria y log\u00edstica. El nuevo plan reafirma el compromiso del sector privado con el crecimiento del <strong>Puerto de Manzanillo<\/strong>; y tambi\u00e9n su consolidaci\u00f3n como uno de los principales nodos mar\u00edtimos de Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parte de los recursos se destinar\u00e1n a incorporar tecnolog\u00edas utilizadas en puertos de clase mundial; con el objetivo de agilizar las operaciones de carga y descarga, optimizar los tiempos de atenci\u00f3n y mejorar la conectividad log\u00edstica del recinto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La modernizaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n busca incrementar la capacidad operativa para responder al aumento del movimiento de mercanc\u00edas; y fortalecer la eficiencia de las cadenas de suministro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El anuncio coincide con una etapa de expansi\u00f3n del <strong>Puerto de Manzanillo<\/strong>.
