La Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Transporte A\u00e9reo (IATA) destac\u00f3 durante su Asamblea General Anual en R\u00edo de Janeiro el potencial del pa\u00eds para desarrollar una industria masiva de <strong>combustible sostenible para aviaci\u00f3n<\/strong> (SAF), respaldada por su disponibilidad de biomasa, experiencia en biocombustibles y capacidad log\u00edstica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del componente ambiental, el desaf\u00edo abre una oportunidad estrat\u00e9gica para el desarrollo de nuevas cadenas de suministro, infraestructura de almacenamiento, refinaci\u00f3n y transporte vinculadas al sector aeron\u00e1utico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan estimaciones de la IATA, las aerol\u00edneas necesitar\u00e1n cerca de 500 millones de toneladas de SAF para cumplir con el objetivo de alcanzar emisiones netas cero de carbono hacia 2050.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ese escenario, Brasil aparece como uno de los pa\u00edses con mejores condiciones para abastecer parte de esa demanda global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>El reto log\u00edstico detr\u00e1s del SAF<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La expansi\u00f3n del <strong>combustible sostenible para aviaci\u00f3n<\/strong> depender\u00e1 no solo de la materia prima disponible, sino tambi\u00e9n de la capacidad para construir una red log\u00edstica eficiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente, Brasil posee potencial para disponer de unas 180 millones de toneladas de biomasa hacia 2050, volumen suficiente para producir alrededor de 60 millones de toneladas de SAF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, hacia 2030 el pa\u00eds podr\u00eda contar con aproximadamente 18 millones de toneladas de materias primas provenientes de etanol de ca\u00f1a de az\u00facar, aceites vegetales y residuos, lo que permitir\u00eda generar cerca de 12 millones de toneladas del combustible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La cifra adquiere relevancia estrat\u00e9gica si se considera que equivale a cinco veces la producci\u00f3n mundial estimada de SAF para 2026, proyectada en 2,4 millones de toneladas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Nuevas cadenas de suministro y oportunidades de exportaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El desarrollo de esta industria exigir\u00e1 fortalecer corredores log\u00edsticos capaces de conectar regiones agr\u00edcolas, centros industriales, plantas de refinaci\u00f3n y aeropuertos internacionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La IATA considera prioritario ampliar infraestructura de almacenamiento, sistemas de distribuci\u00f3n y redes de transporte especializadas para garantizar el suministro continuo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, Brasil podr\u00eda transformarse en exportador neto de <strong>combustible sostenible para aviaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, aprovechando su experiencia en biocombustibles y la infraestructura energ\u00e9tica ya existente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La expansi\u00f3n del sector tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda generar nuevas inversiones en log\u00edstica, refinaci\u00f3n, energ\u00eda e infraestructura, consolidando al pa\u00eds como un actor estrat\u00e9gico dentro de la descarbonizaci\u00f3n del transporte a\u00e9reo global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator
