Seg\u00fan destac\u00f3 Miguel Bolinaga, presidente de AES Panam\u00e1, durante el Foro de Ambiente 2026 organizado por la Asociaci\u00f3n Paname\u00f1a de Ejecutivos de Empresa (APEDE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante el panel \u201cMegaproyectos y Sostenibilidad Empresarial\u201d, Bolinaga asegur\u00f3 que las inversiones realizadas en el sistema el\u00e9ctrico nacional han fortalecido la capacidad del pa\u00eds para respaldar sectores estrat\u00e9gicos como log\u00edstica, turismo, puertos y centros de datos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>AES destaca diversificaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El ejecutivo explic\u00f3 que la <strong>infraestructura el\u00e9ctrica en Panam\u00e1<\/strong> ha evolucionado hacia un modelo m\u00e1s robusto y diversificado; permitiendo as\u00ed enfrentar periodos de sequ\u00eda y responder a las crecientes exigencias energ\u00e9ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente, el pa\u00eds cuenta con m\u00e1s de <strong>110 plantas de generaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, m\u00e1s de <strong>72 empresas generadoras<\/strong>; y al menos <strong>30 proyectos en construcci\u00f3n o con licencia provisional<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan datos expuestos durante el encuentro, entre 1999 y 2025 el sector el\u00e9ctrico paname\u00f1o recibi\u00f3 inversiones por <strong>US$12.365 millones<\/strong>; distribuidas en generaci\u00f3n (67%), distribuci\u00f3n (23%) y transmisi\u00f3n (10%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ciertamente, este ecosistema energ\u00e9tico integra distintas fuentes, incluyendo generaci\u00f3n h\u00eddrica, gas natural, energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica y solar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Foro reuni\u00f3 a l\u00edderes del sector<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El Foro de Ambiente 2026 de APEDE reuni\u00f3 a autoridades, especialistas ambientales, acad\u00e9micos y representantes del sector privado para debatir sobre sostenibilidad y desarrollo econ\u00f3mico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El evento cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n del Ministerio de Ambiente, la Autoridad del Canal de Panam\u00e1 y el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID);
