Los veh\u00edculos ingresaron por el puerto de Montevideo el 23 de diciembre y fueron trasladados a <strong>Fray Bentos<\/strong> entre el 9 y 19 de febrero, en viajes de a dos. Los camiones quedaron emplazados en el predio de <strong>Fraylog<\/strong>, lindero a la ciudad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Primera etapa del piloto<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan explicaron los ingenieros <strong>Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> y <strong>Juan Andr\u00e9s Chick<\/strong>, gerentes del Proyecto Kahir\u00f3s, seis camiones ser\u00e1n los que circulen en esta primera etapa del piloto. Se\u00f1alaron que la tecnolog\u00eda es nueva para el pa\u00eds y que el proyecto incluir\u00e1 un fuerte componente de aprendizaje operativo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los camiones funcionan con <strong>celdas de combustible<\/strong> que convierten hidr\u00f3geno en energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica. Su autonom\u00eda es de aproximadamente 700 kil\u00f3metros y no generan emisiones locales. Una innovaci\u00f3n destacada es el sistema de almacenamiento de hidr\u00f3geno a <strong>700 bares<\/strong>, muy superior a las experiencias previas en Uruguay, que no superaban los 200 bares. Adem\u00e1s, los tiempos de carga son m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidos en comparaci\u00f3n con otras tecnolog\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Operativa log\u00edstica y proyecci\u00f3n ambiental<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto contempla circulaci\u00f3n diaria por rutas nacionales, operando las 24 horas. Cuando el piloto comience en el <strong>segundo semestre de 2026<\/strong>, la flota podr\u00eda recorrer cerca de <strong>un mill\u00f3n de kil\u00f3metros por a\u00f1o<\/strong> y reducir unas <strong>900 toneladas de CO\u2082<\/strong> frente al transporte tradicional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Infraestructura asociada al Proyecto Kahir\u00f3s<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>planta solar<\/strong> que abastecer\u00e1 de energ\u00eda renovable ya est\u00e1 construida. Se aguarda la llegada de los equipos para la <strong>planta de hidr\u00f3geno<\/strong>, que integrar\u00e1 generaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica, electr\u00f3lisis y la hidrolinera. Los proveedores del electrolizador y del sistema de carga ya fueron definidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El <strong>Grupo Santander<\/strong> es inversor del proyecto, con participaci\u00f3n de empresas uruguayas del sector log\u00edstico y energ\u00e9tico. El cliente final ser\u00e1 <strong>Montes del Plata<\/strong>, que recibir\u00e1 la madera transportada.
