El convenio fue firmado el 19 de diciembre de 2025 y contempla una nueva posici\u00f3n de atraque de 350 metros lineales. Adem\u00e1s, considera la incorporaci\u00f3n de 31 hect\u00e1reas adicionales a la superficie operativa de la terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con esta ampliaci\u00f3n, la terminal alcanzar\u00e1 un total de 1.050 metros de muelle y una superficie de 72,4 hect\u00e1reas. La expansi\u00f3n permitir\u00e1 fortalecer la capacidad operativa y mejorar la atenci\u00f3n a buques de mayor tama\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan Hutchison Ports Icave, la inversi\u00f3n asociada al proyecto supera los 4.500 millones de pesos.<br>Los recursos estar\u00e1n destinados principalmente a equipamiento tecnol\u00f3gico y mejoras en infraestructura portuaria. El plan incluye la incorporaci\u00f3n de tres gr\u00faas p\u00f3rtico de muelle tipo STS y 11 gr\u00faas de patio RTG el\u00e9ctricas. Tambi\u00e9n contempla sistemas de videovigilancia, control automatizado de accesos y un nuevo almac\u00e9n CFS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Habilitar\u00e1n \u00e1reas espec\u00edficas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Adicionalmente, se habilitar\u00e1n \u00e1reas espec\u00edficas para inspecci\u00f3n de autoridades, optimizando los flujos operativos. Estas mejoras buscan reducir tiempos de atenci\u00f3n y aumentar la eficiencia en las operaciones de comercio exterior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, con la Fase II, la capacidad proyectada de la terminal alcanzar\u00e1 2,4 millones de TEU anuales. La infraestructura permitir\u00e1 atender hasta tres buques de gran calado de forma simult\u00e1nea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante la firma del convenio, autoridades tambi\u00e9n destacaron que el proyecto refuerza el papel de Veracruz como hub log\u00edstico regional.
