La medida permite avanzar en la construcci\u00f3n y explotaci\u00f3n de la v\u00eda f\u00e9rrea, reforzando la modernizaci\u00f3n de la red ferroviaria y la diversificaci\u00f3n de los modos de transporte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Primer proyecto greenfield<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan Leonardo Ribeiro, secretario nacional de Transporte Ferroviario, la concesi\u00f3n de la EF 118 es la <strong>primera greenfield en la historia del sector<\/strong>, marcando el inicio de la <strong>Pol\u00edtica Nacional de Otorgamientos Ferroviarios<\/strong>. El modelo p\u00fablico-privado incluye aportes del Gobierno para garantizar el equilibrio econ\u00f3mico-financiero del proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Tramo y expansi\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El plan contempla como <strong>tramo principal<\/strong> la conexi\u00f3n ferroviaria entre <strong>Santa Leopoldina (ES) y S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o da Barra (RJ)<\/strong>, con aproximadamente 246 kil\u00f3metros. Adem\u00e1s, prev\u00e9 una posible <strong>expansi\u00f3n hasta Nova Igua\u00e7u (RJ)<\/strong>, incluyendo segmentos de la EF 103, totalizando 325 kil\u00f3metros adicionales bajo condiciones espec\u00edficas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Integraci\u00f3n log\u00edstica<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Estrat\u00e9gica para el Sudeste, la EF 118 conecta el <strong>Puerto de A\u00e7u (RJ) con Esp\u00edrito Santo<\/strong> y puede integrarse a la red ferroviaria existente y otros complejos portuarios, como los puertos de <strong>Ubu y Central<\/strong>. Esto permitir\u00e1 mejorar la eficiencia del transporte de cargas y fortalecer la conexi\u00f3n entre <strong>\u00e1reas industriales, centros productores y puertos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Inversi\u00f3n y capacidad<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto est\u00e1 estructurado para recibir <strong>R$ 6,6 mil millones (USD 1.320 millones)<\/strong> en su fase de implantaci\u00f3n, con costos operativos estimados en <strong>R$ 3,61 mil millones (USD 722 millones)<\/strong> durante la concesi\u00f3n.
