La empresa sueca prepara el inicio de producci\u00f3n en su nueva planta de <strong>Nuevo Le\u00f3n<\/strong> durante el segundo semestre; con el objetivo de complementar la demanda de tractocamiones en Estados Unidos. Adem\u00e1s, comenzar\u00e1 a <strong>exportar autobuses a Europa<\/strong> desde su f\u00e1brica en <strong>Tultitl\u00e1n<\/strong>, Estado de M\u00e9xico. Seg\u00fan anunci\u00f3 Rafael Kisel, presidente de Volvo Group M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El directivo explic\u00f3 que, si bien Volvo ya posee una presencia industrial s\u00f3lida en Estados Unidos \u2014con plantas en <strong>Virginia y Pensilvania<\/strong> bajo las marcas Volvo y Mack\u2014, la demanda del mercado estadounidense ha superado la capacidad instalada. Por ello, parte de la producci\u00f3n mexicana se dirigir\u00e1 directamente a ese pa\u00eds; incluso considerando el impacto arancelario, que se estima ser\u00e1 menor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kisel subray\u00f3 que Volvo toma decisiones de inversi\u00f3n a largo plazo, pensando en horizontes de <strong>20 a 30 a\u00f1os<\/strong>. En ese contexto, M\u00e9xico se ha consolidado como el <strong>segundo mercado m\u00e1s relevante de Latinoam\u00e9rica<\/strong> para el segmento de camiones. \u201cVemos al mercado mexicano con mucho inter\u00e9s. M\u00e9xico se est\u00e1 volviendo muy importante para el Grupo por su tama\u00f1o y por las inversiones que ya realizamos\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el caso de los autobuses, la compa\u00f1\u00eda decidi\u00f3 redirigir inventarios hacia Europa debido a la <strong>menor demanda interna<\/strong> en M\u00e9xico.
