Seg\u00fan sus impulsores, la iniciativa permitir\u00e1 mover semirremolques, cajas m\u00f3viles y contenedores mediante una red integrada; capaz de reducir los <strong>costos operativos en m\u00e1s del 50%<\/strong> y los <strong>costos externos en m\u00e1s del 70%<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de mejorar la cohesi\u00f3n territorial y la autonom\u00eda energ\u00e9tica europea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los promotores subrayan que el ferrocarril contin\u00faa limitado por <strong>infraestructuras heterog\u00e9neas<\/strong>, <strong>falta de interoperabilidad<\/strong> y <strong>d\u00e9bil conexi\u00f3n con la red vial<\/strong>; lo que obliga a muchas empresas a depender casi exclusivamente del cami\u00f3n. \u201cSi las v\u00edas no se alinean con las carreteras, no hay nada que hacer\u201d, afirm\u00f3 uno de los representantes; destacando que la sostenibilidad log\u00edstica exige infraestructuras intermodales reales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto fue bien recibido por las autoridades de movilidad y transporte de la Uni\u00f3n Europea; que reconocieron la urgencia de modernizar el sistema ferroviario para adaptarlo a las nuevas demandas. Adem\u00e1s, el sistema fue planteado con una visi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica m\u00e1s amplia: ser\u00e1 compatible con los <strong>planes de movilidad militar<\/strong> de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea. Esto permitir\u00e1 facilitar el despliegue r\u00e1pido de veh\u00edculos y suministros en emergencias, adem\u00e1s de reforzar la capacidad disuasoria del bloque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El desarrollo inicial contempla una inversi\u00f3n superior a <strong>500 millones de euros<\/strong>; con financiamiento mixto entre fondos privados, aportes nacionales y recursos europeos.
