En su primer a\u00f1o, super\u00f3 las proyecciones iniciales y comenz\u00f3 a funcionar como un <strong>hub regional de transbordo y distribuci\u00f3n<\/strong>, seg\u00fan destac\u00f3 <strong>Carlos Tejada Mera<\/strong>, ex gerente general adjunto de <strong>Cosco Shipping Ports Per\u00fa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tejada explic\u00f3 que el puerto ya recibe <strong>buques con m\u00e1s de 3.500 veh\u00edculos<\/strong>, de los cuales una parte se destina al mercado peruano y el resto se redistribuye hacia otros pa\u00edses del Pac\u00edfico. \u201cEsto permite optimizar costos y beneficiar al consumidor final\u201d, precis\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El ejecutivo resalt\u00f3 que la entrada en operaci\u00f3n de Chancay gener\u00f3 <strong>mayor competencia portuaria en Per\u00fa<\/strong>, impulsando mejoras tambi\u00e9n en el <strong>Puerto del Callao<\/strong> y atrayendo <strong>rutas directas hacia Asia<\/strong>. \u201cEl beneficiario es el usuario final: exportadores, importadores y consumidores\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De cara al futuro, Tejada proyect\u00f3 que <strong>Chancay podr\u00eda superar el mill\u00f3n de TEU en 2026<\/strong>, lo que activar\u00eda la segunda fase de expansi\u00f3n del terminal.
