{"id":64152,"date":"2025-08-28T08:20:44","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T11:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/todologisticanews.com\/site\/?p=64152"},"modified":"2025-08-28T08:20:56","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T11:20:56","slug":"ual-lanza-servicio-caribbean-shuttle-en-el-caribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/todologisticanews.com\/site\/ual-lanza-servicio-caribbean-shuttle-en-el-caribe\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>UAL lanza servicio Caribbean Shuttle en el Caribe<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>UAL ha presentado el UAL Caribbean Shuttle, un servicio fijo de 9 d\u00edas que conecta Trinidad &amp; Tobago, Guyana y Surinam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La iniciativa responde a la creciente demanda de opciones de transporte confiables y multiprop\u00f3sito en el Caribe sur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El servicio ser\u00e1 operado por el nuevo <strong>mv UAL Transporter<\/strong>, un buque tipo landing craft con calado de 5 metros y capacidad de 387 TEU. Dise\u00f1ado para condiciones regionales, el buque accede tanto a terminales principales como a puertos fluviales en Georgetown y Paramaribo; donde los calados limitan buques mayores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Caribbean Shuttle maneja una amplia variedad de cargas: contenedores FCL de alimentos, maquinaria y bienes de consumo. Tambi\u00e9n transporte <strong>RoRo<\/strong> de veh\u00edculos, camiones, equipos de construcci\u00f3n y miner\u00eda, y carga <strong>breakbulk<\/strong> como acero, tuber\u00edas, fertilizantes y materiales de construcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martijn Hordijk, Project Manager de UAL, indic\u00f3: \u201cLos comerciantes necesitaban una opci\u00f3n de corta distancia fija y confiable.  Con una rotaci\u00f3n programada de 9 d\u00edas y capacidad para todo tipo de carga, ofrecemos consistencia a exportadores e importadores\u201d. El servicio lo gestionar\u00e1 localmente UAL Trinidad, con apoyo de la oficina central en Pa\u00edses Bajos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trinidad &amp; Tobago funciona tambi\u00e9n como hub para bienes industriales, petroqu\u00edmicos y carga de consumo. Guyana, con econom\u00eda en crecimiento, impulsa comercio mediante desarrollo petrolero, infraestructura y agricultura. Surinam aporta comercio de arroz, bananas, madera y productos pesqueros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan la Guyana Rice Development Board, las exportaciones de arroz a Trinidad &amp; Tobago superaron 30,000 toneladas m\u00e9tricas en 2023; destacando as\u00ed la importancia de este corredor.
