El primero operar\u00e1 en Chile, y el segundo en Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los nombres hacen referencia a aves marinas aut\u00f3ctonas; siguiendo la tradici\u00f3n de la empresa, con m\u00e1s de 60 a\u00f1os en el sector, se\u00f1al\u00f3 SAAM Towage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cristi\u00e1n Cifuentes, Country Manager Chile &amp; Per\u00fa, afirm\u00f3 que esta adquisici\u00f3n es parte del plan de inversiones para 2025; destinado a optimizar la capacidad operativa y la oferta de servicios, reforzando la presencia en ambos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El SAAM Petrel, en camino al puerto de Arica (Chile), cuenta con un sistema de control de emisiones certificado IMO Tier III para reducir \u00f3xidos nitrosos (NOx); siendo el primero en Chile con esta tecnolog\u00eda. El SAAM Charr\u00e1n ya opera en el puerto peruano del Callao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambos remolcadores, certificados bajo est\u00e1ndar Fire Fighting 1 (FiFi 1), apoyar\u00e1n maniobras de atraque y desatraque en terminales portuarias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con estas incorporaciones, la edad promedio de la flota en Chile y Per\u00fa es de 13 a\u00f1os, con un bollard pull (BP) de 65 toneladas. Miden 24,4 metros de eslora y 12 metros de manga, tienen capacidad de tracci\u00f3n de 80 toneladas; y alcanzan una velocidad m\u00e1xima de 13 nudos.
