La Empresa Portuaria Iquique valor\u00f3 como complementaria la nueva ruta bioce\u00e1nica entre Brasil y China, actualmente en etapa de estudio. Destac\u00f3 adem\u00e1s que esta iniciativa no compite, sino que se suma al avance del <em>Corredor Bioce\u00e1nico Vial<\/em>, que unir\u00e1 Mato Grosso con los puertos del norte de Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La estatal chilena subray\u00f3 que Brasil ha venido desarrollando diversas alternativas para reforzar su comercio con Asia, especialmente con China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este marco, se firm\u00f3 recientemente un memorando entre Brasil y China para analizar la viabilidad de un sistema ferroviario. Este conectar\u00eda el puerto de Ilheus, en Bah\u00eda, con el puerto peruano de Chancay, facilitando el transporte de carga al mercado asi\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan EPI, este proyecto no reemplaza al corredor vial impulsado por Chile y Brasil, cuya operaci\u00f3n iniciar\u00eda a fines de 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl comercio mar\u00edtimo de Brasil supera los 2.200 millones de toneladas. Esto obliga a diversificar rutas log\u00edsticas\u201d, afirm\u00f3 la empresa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ese sentido, el corredor vial hacia puertos chilenos, como el de Iquique, atender\u00e1 mercados espec\u00edficos del Cono Sur. En paralelo, el trazado ferroviario hacia Per\u00fa abrir\u00e1 otra v\u00eda directa hacia Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde EPI tambi\u00e9n recordaron que Chile entreg\u00f3 un plan de acci\u00f3n a Brasil. Fue presentado por el presidente Gabriel Boric a su par Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva.
