Esto representa un aumento del 20% en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo mes del a\u00f1o pasado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este crecimiento marca un nuevo r\u00e9cord para vol\u00famenes de contenedores en abril y sigue al r\u00e9cord alcanzado en marzo. En lo que va del a\u00f1o, hasta abril, el puerto ha movilizado 1,456,173 TEUs, lo que significa un crecimiento del 4% respecto a 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las importaciones de contenedores cargados aumentaron un 21%, mientras que las exportaciones crecieron un 16% en abril, alcanzando un total de 316,543 TEUs cargados, un 19% m\u00e1s que en el mismo periodo del a\u00f1o anterior. En particular, las importaciones de carga refrigerada en contenedores, conocidas como reefers, subieron un 46%, coincidiendo con la temporada alta de c\u00edtricos y otras frutas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En las terminales multiprop\u00f3sito, las importaciones de acero crecieron un 40% durante abril y acumulan un aumento del 17% en el a\u00f1o. Por su parte, el volumen de carga general ha subido un 18% en lo que va de 2025. En conjunto, el tonelaje total manejado en las instalaciones p\u00fablicas del puerto ha aumentado un 3%, llegando a 18,087,097 toneladas hasta abril.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charlie Jenkins, CEO de Port Houston, destac\u00f3: \u201cEstamos trabajando arduamente para que cada carga y contenedor se mueva con rapidez hacia su destino final. Aunque el mercado es incierto, Houston ha sido un mercado en crecimiento constante.
