Orsi destac\u00f3 que esta propuesta ya cuenta con el inter\u00e9s del presidente paraguayo, Santiago Pe\u00f1a; quien ha mostrado disposici\u00f3n para colaborar en esta iniciativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto de extensi\u00f3n del Ferrocarril Central no solo tiene la intenci\u00f3n de mejorar la infraestructura ferroviaria de Uruguay; sino que tambi\u00e9n busca fortalecer la integraci\u00f3n regional. Seg\u00fan Orsi, Pe\u00f1a expres\u00f3 su inter\u00e9s en explorar formas de incluir a Paraguay en esta red de transporte; lo que podr\u00eda beneficiar tanto a Uruguay como a Paraguay. \u00abEs toda una negociaci\u00f3n de tres puntas\u00bb, coment\u00f3 el mandatario uruguayo, sugiriendo que la colaboraci\u00f3n podr\u00eda extenderse incluso a Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Ferrocarril Central conecta actualmente el Puerto de Montevideo con Pueblo Centenario, en el departamento de Durazno. Esta infraestructura es una de las mayores inversiones en el sector ferroviario de Uruguay en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Orsi subray\u00f3 que el gobierno uruguayo est\u00e1 enfocado en saldar las deudas de la obra y en planificar su expansi\u00f3n hacia el este y el norte del pa\u00eds; con un enfoque en la conexi\u00f3n internacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El presidente uruguayo afirm\u00f3 que el proyecto busca no solo mejorar el transporte de carga; sino tambi\u00e9n fomentar la integraci\u00f3n regional sobre rieles. \u00abPienso en el ferrocarril llegando al este, pero tambi\u00e9n cruzando la frontera\u00bb.
