El logro fue certificado por SGS de Ecuador tras un riguroso proceso conforme a las normas ISO 14064-1:2018 e ISO 14068-1:2023. La verificaci\u00f3n cubre el per\u00edodo comprendido entre el 1 de enero y el 31 de diciembre de 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El terminal destac\u00f3 que optimiz\u00f3 el consumo de combustible en sus equipos portuarios, reduciendo significativamente su huella ambiental. Para cubrir las emisiones restantes, TPG adquiri\u00f3 Certificados de Emisi\u00f3n Reducida (CERs), impulsando a\u00fan m\u00e1s su compromiso sostenible. Luisenrique Navas, gerente general de TPG, afirm\u00f3 que el desarrollo portuario debe estar siempre alineado con el cuidado ambiental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, remarc\u00f3 que TPG apuesta por infraestructura moderna, con equipos el\u00e9ctricos de bajas emisiones y m\u00e1xima eficiencia energ\u00e9tica. \u201cAlcanzar la neutralidad de carbono representa un paso firme hacia nuestro objetivo de ser un puerto m\u00e1s sostenible\u201d, asegur\u00f3 Navas. Asimismo, el terminal recibi\u00f3 el Distintivo de Cuantificaci\u00f3n de Huella de Carbono de Gases de Efecto Invernadero (GEI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este reconocimiento, otorgado por el Ministerio del Ambiente, Agua y Transici\u00f3n Ecol\u00f3gica (MAATE), avala su gesti\u00f3n transparente de emisiones. El distintivo forma parte del Programa Ecuador Carbono Cero, impulsando a las organizaciones hacia una transici\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica efectiva.
