Este crecimiento se vio acompa\u00f1ado de un aumento del 8,7% en la capacidad; y de una ocupaci\u00f3n promedio del 83,5%, el nivel m\u00e1s alto registrado hasta la fecha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Willie Walsh, Director General de IATA, destac\u00f3 que la recuperaci\u00f3n del sector fue impulsada por una fuerte demanda de viajes; reflejada en un factor de ocupaci\u00f3n sin precedentes. Sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1al\u00f3 los desaf\u00edos que enfrenta la industria, incluyendo la seguridad y el compromiso de las aerol\u00edneas con la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones de carbono. En 2024, las aerol\u00edneas invirtieron cifras r\u00e9cord en Combustible de Aviaci\u00f3n Sostenible (SAF); pero solo el 0,5% del consumo total de combustible provino de esta fuente. Am\u00e9rica Latina registr\u00f3 un crecimiento del 7,8%, mientras que Europa y Am\u00e9rica del Norte tuvieron incrementos m\u00e1s moderados de 8,7% y 4,6%, respectivamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el mercado internacional, el tr\u00e1fico super\u00f3 por primera vez los niveles de 2019, con un aumento del 0,5%. Asia-Pac\u00edfico lider\u00f3 nuevamente con un incremento del 26%, aunque a\u00fan se mantiene 8,7% por debajo de los niveles previos a la pandemia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el \u00e1mbito dom\u00e9stico, China fue el mercado con mejor desempe\u00f1o, con un crecimiento del 12,3%; mientras que India mantuvo el mayor factor de ocupaci\u00f3n con un 86,4%. Estados Unidos, Jap\u00f3n, Brasil y Australia tambi\u00e9n registraron crecimientos positivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para 2025, IATA proyecta un crecimiento del 8%, en l\u00ednea con los promedios hist\u00f3ricos.
