La empresa busca fortalecer la posici\u00f3n de Per\u00fa como hub log\u00edstico regional, impulsando agroexportaciones y empleo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En junio de 2024, DP World inaugur\u00f3 el Muelle Bicentenario en Callao, con una inversi\u00f3n de $350 millones. Esta ampliaci\u00f3n increment\u00f3 su capacidad de manipulaci\u00f3n de contenedores en un 80%, alcanzando 2.7 millones de TEU anuales. Adem\u00e1s, extendi\u00f3 el muelle de 650 a 1,050 metros, permitiendo atender simult\u00e1neamente tres buques de gran tama\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Competencia con el Puerto de Chancay<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El megapuerto de Chancay, inaugurado en noviembre de 2024 por Cosco Shipping Ports, es un nuevo competidor en la costa peruana. Sin embargo, DP World asegura que Callao sigue siendo insuperable como principal hub portuario del pa\u00eds. Seg\u00fan Fernando Fauche, de APM Terminals Callao, todas las principales navieras operan en Callao, consolid\u00e1ndolo como un centro log\u00edstico clave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Impacto regional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La ampliaci\u00f3n del Callao lo posiciona como el terminal de mayor capacidad en la costa oeste de Sudam\u00e9rica.
