Lacalle destac\u00f3 el impacto positivo de la nueva terminal; que se suma a iniciativas deportivas, culturales, educativas y habitacionales realizadas en el departamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Resalt\u00f3 el riesgo asumido por Aeropuertos Uruguay al proyectar cinco terminales internacionales durante la pandemia; logrando incluir a Paysand\u00fa en el Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos Internacionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La modernizaci\u00f3n del aeropuerto implic\u00f3 una inversi\u00f3n de 12,5 millones de d\u00f3lares. Los trabajos incluyeron una terminal de pasajeros, recapado de pista, iluminaci\u00f3n, una nueva planta de combustible, una estaci\u00f3n meteorol\u00f3gica y destacamentos para la Polic\u00eda A\u00e9rea Nacional y Bomberos. Estas mejoras potenciar\u00e1n tanto el transporte de pasajeros como el ingreso de productores extranjeros; seg\u00fan el exministro de Defensa Nacional, Armando Castaingdebat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la misma jornada, Lacalle encabez\u00f3 la inauguraci\u00f3n de las nuevas instalaciones del Paysand\u00fa F\u00fatbol Club.
