Como la exhibici\u00f3n de \u2018Hechos del Canal\u2019 el 2 de diciembre en el Museo del Canal Interoce\u00e1nico; la transmisi\u00f3n del documental \u2018La gesta del Canal\u2019 el 26 de diciembre. Y, finalmente una ceremonia protocolar el 31 de diciembre para conmemorar la fecha exacta de la transferencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La gesti\u00f3n del Canal por parte de Panam\u00e1 se inici\u00f3 formalmente tras la firma de los Tratados Torrijos-Carter en 1977; y la cesi\u00f3n completa del canal se concret\u00f3 el 31 de diciembre de 1999. Cuando las tropas estadounidenses se retiraron de la zona del Canal.
