Este tren conectar\u00e1 Lima con la ciudad de Ica a lo largo de <strong>280 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong>; facilitando el transporte masivo de pasajeros y mercanc\u00edas en un recorrido que promete reducir el tiempo de viaje entre ambas ciudades a solo <strong>2,5 horas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 el ministro de Transporte y Comunicaciones, <strong>Ra\u00fal P\u00e9rez Reyes<\/strong>, el proyecto concluy\u00f3 la fase de preinversi\u00f3n; y fue registrado como viable en el Banco de Inversiones del Ministerio de Econom\u00eda y Finanzas. La modalidad seleccionada para la ejecuci\u00f3n es la de <strong>Gobierno a Gobierno (G2G)<\/strong>; un enfoque que busca asegurar la calidad y celeridad en el proceso de construcci\u00f3n y entrega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Algunas de las embajadas que asistieron a la presentaci\u00f3n fueron las de <strong>Austria, Canad\u00e1, Corea del Sur, Alemania, Suiza, Jap\u00f3n<\/strong> y <strong>Estados Unidos<\/strong>; lo que refleja el inter\u00e9s internacional en esta iniciativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El proyecto busca <strong>beneficiar a m\u00e1s de 12 millones de personas<\/strong>; optimizando tiempos de traslado, reduciendo accidentes de tr\u00e1nsito; y tambi\u00e9n congestionamiento vehicular y las emisiones contaminantes.
