Durante una conferencia, la administraci\u00f3n del Canal explic\u00f3 que, a pesar de una reducci\u00f3n del 21 % en tr\u00e1nsitos de alto calado debido a la sequ\u00eda, los resultados financieros reflejan la resiliencia y confiabilidad de la v\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La reducci\u00f3n de costos operativos en un 5 % y un incremento de la utilidad neta en US$ 300 millones respecto al a\u00f1o anterior fueron algunos de los puntos clave presentados por V\u00edctor Vial, vicepresidente de Finanzas. Asimismo, los ingresos de la v\u00eda interoce\u00e1nica han crecido un 1 %, proyectando un incremento de B\/. 1,800 millones en los pr\u00f3ximos cinco a\u00f1os, en medio de desaf\u00edos como el fen\u00f3meno de El Ni\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Estrategias de sostenibilidad y eficiencia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El administrador del Canal, Ricaurte V\u00e1squez Morales, destac\u00f3 el esfuerzo de la fuerza laboral en implementar medidas de ahorro de agua y sostenibilidad ambiental para mitigar el impacto de la sequ\u00eda. Entre las estrategias clave estuvieron el Cargo por Agua Dulce; adem\u00e1s de la optimizaci\u00f3n del rendimiento del agua y mejoras en el sistema de reservas y subastas, garantizando una operaci\u00f3n segura y eficiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Resultados financieros y proyecciones<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2024, el Canal transport\u00f3 423 millones de toneladas y gener\u00f3 una utilidad neta de US$ 3,453 millones; duplicando esta cifra en los \u00faltimos cuatro a\u00f1os. Para el a\u00f1o fiscal 2025, se proyectan 12,582 tr\u00e1nsitos de alto calado, 520 millones de toneladas transportadas; y un ingreso operativo de US$ 5,624 millones.
