Durante su intervenci\u00f3n ante la <strong>Asamblea General de la Asociaci\u00f3n Worldsteel<\/strong>, Paugam enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia de un enfoque coordinado entre <strong>gobiernos<\/strong>, <strong>industrias<\/strong> y <strong>organismos internacionales<\/strong> para acelerar la descarbonizaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s del comercio global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El director destac\u00f3 que el comercio puede ser un <strong>facilitador clave<\/strong> en la lucha contra el cambio clim\u00e1tico; si se establecen normas claras y globalmente aceptadas para medir las <strong>emisiones de carbono<\/strong>. La creciente demanda mundial de productos con <strong>bajas emisiones<\/strong> ha impulsado proyectos de descarbonizaci\u00f3n en sectores como el <strong>acero<\/strong>. La OMC, junto a entidades como la <strong>UNCTAD<\/strong> y el <strong>FMI<\/strong>, trabaja en un marco que alinee los m\u00e9todos de medici\u00f3n y facilite el comercio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno de los desaf\u00edos principales radica en la falta de armonizaci\u00f3n entre las pol\u00edticas de los distintos pa\u00edses. Esta disparidad genera complejidades para las empresas, especialmente en sectores de alta intensidad energ\u00e9tica.
