Esta iniciativa forma parte de su plan para reducir su huella de carbono y cumplir con su compromiso de <strong>cero emisiones<\/strong> para 2040.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AWS firm\u00f3 acuerdos clave, destacando su colaboraci\u00f3n con <strong>Energy Northwest<\/strong>, un consorcio de empresas p\u00fablicas, para construir <strong>cuatro reactores SMR<\/strong> en Washington; generando hasta <strong>960 megavatios<\/strong> de energ\u00eda, suficiente para abastecer a <strong>770.000 hogares<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n firm\u00f3 un acuerdo con <strong>Dominion Energy<\/strong> para explorar la creaci\u00f3n de otro reactor en Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, AWS financiar\u00e1 a <strong>X-energy<\/strong>, empresa especializada en el desarrollo de reactores y combustibles avanzados; para dise\u00f1ar un reactor nuclear de nueva generaci\u00f3n que se utilizar\u00e1 en el proyecto de Energy Northwest.
