La nave Yantian, proveniente del Puerto de San Antonio, Chile, recal\u00f3 el 20 de septiembre en Chancay para mover 1.700 contenedores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cosco Shipping Ports Per\u00fa, desarrollador del puerto, expres\u00f3 su satisfacci\u00f3n; destacando que este buque de 350 metros de eslora es clave para probar las operaciones del terminal. Este puerto, a 80 kil\u00f3metros de Lima, promete convertirse en un eje log\u00edstico importante en Sudam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Puerto de Chancay ya ha recibido cinco embarcaciones anteriores; encargadas de transportar gr\u00faas y equipos automatizados necesarios para su funcionamiento. La primera fase del puerto incluye una inversi\u00f3n de 1.400 millones de d\u00f3lares; con un total proyectado de 3.500 millones, seg\u00fan Cosco Shipping Ports Per\u00fa y su socia Volcan, dependiendo del aumento en la demanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con un calado de 17,8 metros, el puerto podr\u00e1 recibir buques de hasta 400 metros de eslora; contando con cuatro sitios de atraque que se ampliar\u00e1n a diez. Adem\u00e1s, el recinto podr\u00e1 manejar un mill\u00f3n de TEU por a\u00f1o y dispone de instalaciones para m\u00faltiples tipos de carga, incluidas fraccionadas y granos.
