Esta cifra, que equivale a un aumento de 548 mil personas en comparaci\u00f3n con el a\u00f1o anterior, refleja el crecimiento en la creaci\u00f3n de negocios. El concepto incluye tanto emprendimientos en fase temprana (negocios reci\u00e9n nacidos y nuevos) como aquellos ya establecidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El estudio tambi\u00e9n se\u00f1ala que un 6% de los emprendimientos fueron descontinuados o cerrados; lo que equivale a unas 603 mil personas. En comparaci\u00f3n, en 2023, esta cifra fue del 5.3%, equivalente a 517 mil. A pesar de estas dificultades, el sector de negocios establecidos registr\u00f3 una mejora del 13.2% en 2023; frente al 11.6% del a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Casasola, director de Investigaci\u00f3n de GEM Guatemala, indic\u00f3 que esta mejor\u00eda refleja la resiliencia de los emprendedores; quienes han logrado adaptarse a las condiciones post-pandemia y mantenerse estables. Esto sugiere que el emprendimiento se ha consolidado como una fuente formal de ingresos; y un complemento para muchos hogares guatemaltecos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, persisten desaf\u00edos importantes, como el alto nivel de informalidad.
