Seg\u00fan el Informe Estad\u00edstico Acuaviario de la Agencia Nacional de Transportes Acuaviarios (ANTAQ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El aumento se debe principalmente al desempe\u00f1o de los Puertos de Itagua\u00ed y R\u00edo de Janeiro. El Puerto de Itagua\u00ed manej\u00f3 30 millones de toneladas; destacando en la carga de mineral de hierro con 27 millones de toneladas, un incremento del 22,5% respecto al a\u00f1o anterior. Itagua\u00ed ahora representa el 14,5% del total nacional en la manipulaci\u00f3n de mineral de hierro; siendo el tercer puerto m\u00e1s grande en este sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, el Puerto de R\u00edo de Janeiro manej\u00f3 6,7 millones de toneladas. La carga contenerizada fue especialmente destacada, con 5 millones de toneladas; lo que representa un aumento del 53,9% en comparaci\u00f3n con el primer semestre de 2023.
