{"id":53718,"date":"2024-07-19T16:40:53","date_gmt":"2024-07-19T16:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/todologisticanews.com\/site\/?p=53718"},"modified":"2024-07-19T16:41:09","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T16:41:09","slug":"rd-organizo-el-encuentro-regional-de-waipa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/todologisticanews.com\/site\/rd-organizo-el-encuentro-regional-de-waipa\/","title":{"rendered":"RD organiz\u00f3 el Encuentro Regional de WAIPA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Por primera vez, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana organiz\u00f3 el Encuentro Regional de WAIPA a trav\u00e9s de ProDominicana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> El evento reuni\u00f3 a pa\u00edses de Centroam\u00e9rica y el Caribe; incluyendo Bahamas, Bermuda, Santa Luc\u00eda, Curazao, Costa Rica, Honduras, Estados Unidos (Florida), Guatemala, Guyana y Dominica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, participaron organismos como el Banco Centroamericano de Integraci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica (BCIE), UNCTAD, ITC, OMT y UNIDO. La vicepresidenta dominicana, Raquel Pe\u00f1a, lider\u00f3 el evento, expresando su confianza en que marcar\u00e1 una nueva era de prosperidad y cooperaci\u00f3n regional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pe\u00f1a destac\u00f3 que las agencias de promoci\u00f3n de inversiones son cruciales para facilitar colaboraciones, fomentar la transferencia de tecnolog\u00eda y promover la innovaci\u00f3n. Subray\u00f3 que la confianza en la naci\u00f3n es el cimiento para alianzas duraderas y crecimiento mutuo; permitiendo al gobierno invertir en programas sociales que mejoran la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biviana Riveiro, directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana y directora regional de WAIPA, tambi\u00e9n destac\u00f3 los logros recientes en inversi\u00f3n extranjera directa (IED). En 2022 y 2023, el pa\u00eds alcanz\u00f3 r\u00e9cords hist\u00f3ricos en captaci\u00f3n de IED; superando los US$4,000 millones en sectores como turismo, energ\u00eda, comercio, industria, sector inmobiliario, miner\u00eda y telecomunicaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hostos Rizik, director ejecutivo del BCIE en Rep\u00fablica Dominicana, resalt\u00f3 que el pa\u00eds lidera la regi\u00f3n con la econom\u00eda m\u00e1s grande y un PIB de US$119,966 millones al cierre de 2023.
