La nueva ruta ofrecer\u00e1 dos vuelos semanales, los mi\u00e9rcoles y domingos, durante julio y agosto; coincidiendo con la temporada de verano canadiense. El vuelo llegar\u00e1 a Guanacaste a las 11:30 y partir\u00e1 a las 12:40 hacia Montreal. Air Transat utilizar\u00e1 un Airbus A321 con capacidad para 198 pasajeros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anteriormente, Air Transat operaba esta ruta solo durante la temporada de invierno (noviembre-abril). Sin embargo, desde mayo, la ruta se ha extendido de forma anual con un vuelo semanal. Ante el incremento de la demanda, las frecuencias se duplicar\u00e1n en julio y agosto, ofreciendo a los pasajeros m\u00e1s oportunidades de conocer Guanacaste durante diferentes \u00e9pocas del a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>William Rodr\u00edguez, ministro de turismo, expres\u00f3: \u201cCanad\u00e1 es nuestro segundo mercado emisor de turistas y ha crecido significativamente. Con los esfuerzos de promoci\u00f3n y el trabajo conjunto, Air Transat ha incrementado sus frecuencias a dos por semana en julio y agosto. Esto demuestra que seguimos siendo un destino tur\u00edstico de primer orden\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u00e9sar Jaramillo, gerente general de Guanacaste Aeropuerto, a\u00f1adi\u00f3: \u201cNos complace anunciar este aumento de frecuencias hacia Montreal, reflejando la preferencia de los viajeros canadienses por nuestras bellezas naturales y culturales\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2023, Costa Rica recibi\u00f3 242,970 turistas canadienses por v\u00eda a\u00e9rea. En el primer cuatrimestre de 2024, se registraron 143,076 visitantes canadienses.
