Esto representa una ca\u00edda del 27% respecto a 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan cifras del Dane. La Uni\u00f3n Europea ha sido hist\u00f3ricamente el segundo mayor mercado para el caf\u00e9 colombiano, despu\u00e9s de Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para fortalecer esta relaci\u00f3n comercial y beneficiar a 552.000 familias cafeteras, el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario (ICA) y la Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Exportadores de Caf\u00e9 (Asoexport) firmaron un memorando de entendimiento. Este acuerdo busca cumplir con los protocolos de inocuidad del Pacto Verde Europeo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El memorando incluye una fase de diagn\u00f3stico y capacitaci\u00f3n para los exportadores y productores de caf\u00e9. La Fundaci\u00f3n Suiza de Cooperaci\u00f3n para el Desarrollo T\u00e9cnico (Swiss Contact) participar\u00e1 en este proceso. El objetivo es cumplir con las normas de inocuidad de la UE, especialmente bajo la estrategia \u00abDe la Granja a la Mesa\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gustavo G\u00f3mez, presidente de Asoexport, subray\u00f3 la importancia de esta alianza. \u201cQueremos asegurar que el caf\u00e9 colombiano cumple con los m\u00e1s altos est\u00e1ndares de calidad e inocuidad\u201d, afirm\u00f3. Adem\u00e1s, se realizar\u00e1n ejercicios de diagn\u00f3stico y muestreo para garantizar la admisibilidad del caf\u00e9 en la UE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El gerente general del ICA, Juan Fernando Roa, destac\u00f3 el trabajo conjunto con las familias rurales. \u201cCumplir con los protocolos de inocuidad nos permite fortalecer la econom\u00eda del pa\u00eds\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Roa. Tambi\u00e9n enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia de la seguridad alimentaria y el respeto al medio ambiente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Javier D\u00edaz Molina, presidente de Analdex, destac\u00f3 la relevancia de las alianzas p\u00fablico-privadas. \u201cEsperamos que el caf\u00e9 colombiano pueda crecer en sus exportaciones a la Uni\u00f3n Europea\u201d, coment\u00f3.
