{"id":51199,"date":"2024-04-08T13:15:44","date_gmt":"2024-04-08T13:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/todologisticanews.com\/site\/?p=51199"},"modified":"2024-04-08T13:15:50","modified_gmt":"2024-04-08T13:15:50","slug":"manta-marine-technologies-installs-shore-power-systems-for-finnlines-finnmaid-finnstar-and-finnlady","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/todologisticanews.com\/site\/manta-marine-technologies-installs-shore-power-systems-for-finnlines-finnmaid-finnstar-and-finnlady\/","title":{"rendered":"Manta Marine Technologies installs shore power systems for Finnlines\u2019 Finnmaid, Finnstar and Finnlady"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Manta Marine Technologies (formerly known as Yara Marine Technologies, YMT) has successfully completed installation and commissioning of onboard shore power systems for three Finnlines vessels: the Finnlady, the Finnmaid and the Finnstar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These projects cement Manta Marine Technologies\u2019 reputation as a provider of turnkey shore power solutions, which are likely to see higher take up by the maritime sector as it transitions to a low and zero carbon future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The installations, onboard RINA-classed Finnlines RoPax vessels Finnstar, Finnmaid and Finnlady support Finnlines\u2019 commitment to decarbonise their fleet and reduce the environmental impact on shore-side communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manta Marine Technologies\u2019 skilled shore power team worked closely with Finnlines to minimise vessel downtime and ensure that the new equipment was installed as seamlessly as possible. The former worked to prepare the vessels for shore power, while Finnlines \u2014 in collaboration with the port authorities \u2014 developed a cable management system for the quayside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first phase of the installations took place in spring 2023 and involved some preparatory work being performed while the vessels were sailing, as well as when the vessels were alongside. The MMT team ensured that the detailed design was completed simultaneously and performed FATs.
