Se espera que este corredor fomente la exportaci\u00f3n, almacenamiento y transbordo de energ\u00eda; contribuyendo as\u00ed a la seguridad energ\u00e9tica de Europa, seg\u00fan un comunicado de la Secretar\u00eda de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Datos recientes del Banco de M\u00e9xico revelan un d\u00e9ficit comercial de 467.2 millones de d\u00f3lares (mdd) de M\u00e9xico con Portugal durante los primeros ocho meses de 2023. Mientras las exportaciones mexicanas alcanzaron un valor de 68.2 mdd en el mismo periodo; un incremento del 48.6% en comparaci\u00f3n con 2022. Adem\u00e1s las importaciones provenientes de Portugal ascendieron a 535.4 mdd, representando un ligero aumento del 0.35% en comparaci\u00f3n anual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este corredor mar\u00edtimo se integrar\u00e1 al Corredor Interoce\u00e1nico del Istmo de Tehuantepec (CIIT); conectando el puerto de Coatzacoalcos con Salina Cruz. Lo que proporcionar\u00e1 mayor seguridad y previsibilidad al comercio internacional. La SRE se\u00f1al\u00f3 que este proyecto se alinea con las iniciativas del Global Gateway; fomentando rutas de transporte sostenible, diversificando el suministro de energ\u00eda a Europa y promoviendo la inversi\u00f3n en mitigaci\u00f3n y resiliencia clim\u00e1tica.
