En una declaraci\u00f3n conjunta entre la Asociaci\u00f3n Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Transporte A\u00e9reo (ALTA) y el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperaci\u00f3n para la Agricultura (IICA), se subray\u00f3 la importancia de fortalecer la cadena de valor del sector agropecuario; y su vinculaci\u00f3n con la aviaci\u00f3n comercial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, seg\u00fan los expertos, la regi\u00f3n posee una variedad de materias primas;  incluyendo aceites y grasas vegetales, az\u00facares, almidones y materia prima lignocelul\u00f3sica. Los cuales son cruciales para la producci\u00f3n de biocombustibles de aviaci\u00f3n sostenibles. Agust\u00edn Torroba, especialista en biocombustibles y energ\u00edas renovables del IICA; enfatiz\u00f3 la oportunidad de establecer una colaboraci\u00f3n s\u00f3lida entre ambos sectores. No solo para descarbonizar el transporte a\u00e9reo; sino tambi\u00e9n para impulsar el desarrollo de cadenas de valor y generar empleos sostenibles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n resaltaron la importancia de invitar a los Ministros de Agricultura de las Am\u00e9ricas a participar en la etapa primaria de la cadena de valor de los biocombustibles sostenibles de aviaci\u00f3n.
