En el marco del 129\u00b0 periodo de sesiones del Consejo de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mar\u00edtima Internacional (OMI); se llev\u00f3 a cabo la firma de un importante MOU entre la Autoridad Mar\u00edtima de Panam\u00e1 y el Departamento de Transporte de Canad\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Este Memorando de Cooperaci\u00f3n se centra en el Reconocimiento Mutuo de la Formaci\u00f3n y Titulaci\u00f3n conforme a la Regla I\/10 del Convenio Internacional sobre Normas de Formaci\u00f3n, Titulaci\u00f3n y Guardia para la Gente de Mar, 1978, Enmendado (Convenio STCW\u00b478, enmendado).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noriel Ara\u00faz, Ministro de Asuntos Mar\u00edtimos de Panam\u00e1, y Joanna Manger, Directora General de Seguridad Mar\u00edtima de Transporte Canad\u00e1; fueron los encargados de suscribir este acuerdo hist\u00f3rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias a este MOU, la gente de mar paname\u00f1a podr\u00e1 prestar servicios a bordo de buques registrados bajo la bandera canadiense; lo que fortalece la mano de obra nacional y estrecha los lazos de cooperaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica entre ambos Gobiernos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta alianza impulsa la industria mar\u00edtima de Panam\u00e1; posicion\u00e1ndola como un referente en el \u00e1mbito internacional y generando oportunidades para los marinos paname\u00f1os en el mercado global.
