Los TEUs de contenedores alcanzaron el volumen m\u00e1s alto de la historia y fueron un 21% m\u00e1s en comparaci\u00f3n con el mismo mes del a\u00f1o pasado. En general, el volumen de contenedores ha aumentado un 18% en lo que va de a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abAunque la demanda de importaci\u00f3n en Estados Unidos parece estar bajando; no hemos visto ninguna ralentizaci\u00f3n en Houston en los \u00faltimos meses\u00bb. Dijo Roger Guenther, Director Ejecutivo del Puerto de Houston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El tonelaje total en las instalaciones de Port Houston aument\u00f3 un 18% en octubre y un 25% en el a\u00f1o en comparaci\u00f3n con el a\u00f1o pasado. Las mercanc\u00edas con aumentos significativos en el mes incluyeron productos en sacos con un aumento del 239%, y la madera contrachapada, con un 73%.
