El consorcio estar\u00e1 a cargo de Jan De Nul y Samsung C&amp;T, y fue adjudicado por una empresa conformada por Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), Electricit\u00e9 de France (EDF) y Kyushu Electric Power Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jan De Nul, estar\u00e1 a cargo del <strong>dise\u00f1o, instalaci\u00f3n, entierro y protecci\u00f3n de dos grupos de cables de casi 1.000 km en total<\/strong>, que conectar\u00e1n las islas Al Ghallan y Das en el Golfo Ar\u00e1bigo con las estaciones convertidoras en tierra en Al Mirfa y Shuweihat en Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los dos enlaces de cable son parte del Sistema de Transmisi\u00f3n Submarina m\u00e1s grande de la Compa\u00f1\u00eda Nacional de Petr\u00f3leo de Abu Dhabi (ADNOC), denominado Proyecto Lightning, y la Compa\u00f1\u00eda Nacional de Energ\u00eda de Abu Dhabi (TAQA), que conectar\u00e1n la red el\u00e9ctrica terrestre de esta importante ciudad a todas las instalaciones offshore de ADNOC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El paquete otorgado a Jan De Nul y Samsung es actualmente el primer proyecto de cable submarino HVDC de su tipo en la regi\u00f3n de Oriente Medio y MENA. El valor del contrato del consorcio es de 3 mil millones de d\u00f3lares, de los cuales 725 millones de d\u00f3lares corresponden al alcance de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El primer grupo de cables, que conecta Das Island con la costa, comprende tres cables submarinos de 400 kV de 135 km cada uno. El segundo grupo, que conecta la isla de Al Ghallan con la costa, se refiere a cuatro cables submarinos de 320 kV de 125 km cada uno. La puesta en servicio del proyecto est\u00e1 prevista para 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jan De Nul tiene un historial probado de instalaci\u00f3n de cables submarinos en B\u00e9lgica, Holanda, Alemania, Reino Unido, Grecia, Taiw\u00e1n, Estados Unidos, M\u00e9xico y otros.
